It's your organization, and membership is growing. We welcome active and retired veterinarians, new veterinary graduates and veterinary technicians. You've all got a story to tell and expertise to share. The more the merrier.
Who Can Join PSVMA
To qualify, you must be a veterinarian with a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent degree and abide by all regulations of the Washington State Veterinary Practice Act.
Active members may attend any regular or special meeting, may vote, may serve on committees, may hold office and participate in the business of the Association. Retired members may attend any regular or special meeting, but may not vote, serve on committees nor hold office.
To qualify, you must be a recent graduate of an AVMA-recognized school who has passed the National Board Exam and Washington licensing requirements. New graduates are awarded this membership status for the remainder of their graduation year and all of the following calendar year.
New graduates may attend any regular or special meeting, may vote, may serve on committees and may hold office.
Licensed Veterinary Technicians
In 2011, PSVMA formed the LVT Chapter to invite licensed veterinary technicians into our veterinary community. Everything we provide for the DVMs is now available to LVT members. To qualify, you must be licensed in the state of Washington and be in good standing.
LVT members may join the Board of Directors as directors-at-large, if they chair a recognized committee or chapter of the PSVMA or are a delegate to a board-approved organization.
